






Michael Edrington
Michael Edrington is a seasoned photographer, editor and U.S. Army veteran with a 31-year career in photography, publishing and visual communications. He commanded the Army’s 55th Signal Company (Combat Camera), served as deputy commander and publisher of Stars & Stripes Pacific, and led American Forces Network Europe in Frankfurt. As civilian director of the Defense Imagery Management Operations Center, he managed the DoD’s visual archive.
Edrington’s post-military achievements include managing editor roles for photo books Relentless Courage—Ukraine, Where Valor Rests—Arlington National Cemetery, and For Children of Valor. He also co-curated the Smithsonian’s Desert Storm, A Photographic Diary exhibit. His contributions to photojournalism have earned him prestigious honors, including the NPPA Morris Berman Award and President’s Medal.
